It's been raining in Southeast Tennessee for a week! The ground is soggy and squishy, creeks are overflowing and tree limbs are so heavy they bow low or snap into.
The tiny garden is flooded......
....and my sitting place is lonely.
The leaves glisten.......
My neighbor's old pine tree snapped into.
The creek is rolling.....
rolling.....rolling....rolling down the river....
No picnics.......
Sometimes a blue sky peeks out from behind the rainclouds....
But it doesn't last long.
Who'll stop the rain?
Is it raining where you are?

First of all, thanks for stopping by to wish Riley a belated birthday! It sure would be nice to see more pictures of Mister Bean and Lulu. At the time you posted in my blog, I was just getting back from a week in northern Georgia and it was sure rainy there then! We managed to get a little hiking and a little shopping in between the raindrops, but it sure was a wet week. Rain can make it difficult to do things, but it sure does make things very green and leads to some pretty pictures! Back home here in Chicago we haven't had much in the way of rain (we had a lot in the spring though). Maybe you can send a little of that to some of the Illinois farmers who need it? Hope your August will be a good month!!
